Princes and Paupers: The Art of Jacques Callot
Exhibition Design
Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

Exhibition design for one of the most accomplished printmakers of the 17th century, Jacques Callot at the MFAH. Designed the logo and branding of the exhibition, the intro text, text panels and large-scale graphics. The logo was designed to reflect the push and pull of Callot’s comparisons of the miseries of war to the pageantry of aristocracy, saints to beggars, and biblical narratives to theatrical comedies. The final vinyl type used cream and black along with gold foil to add a decadent texture to the title.
