Native Fashion Now Event Poster
Poster Design
Smithsonian NMAI

Poster design for a program and talk at the National Museum of the American Indian in Manhattan’s Diker Pavilion. Held in conjunction with the show, Native Fashion Now, the program featured distinguished scholars, fashion designers and editors who explored Native fashion as a creative endeavor and expression of cultural identity. They focused on the history of Native fashion, issues of cultural appropriation, and examples of creative collaborations. Some speakers included Anna Blume, Adrienne Keene, Karen Kramer and Virgil Ortiz. The design was inspired by and featured amazing beaded Louboutin boots by Jamie Okuma that were one of many inspiring objects in the show.
