She is currently a Marketing Graphic Designer for Perkins Eastman, one of the largest architectural firms in the country, which produces beautiful, groundbreaking work and is committed to sustainability and a human-centered design focus. Wanted to create a unique look that was culturally relevant and celebrated the beauty and whimsy of Día de los Muertos. Large scale banner was a fabric flag, pieced together and sewn with various cut out shapes and colors. Art and type designed as line art and worked to color match fabric samples and select the right combinations for final output. They focused on the history of Native fashion, issues of cultural appropriation, and examples of creative collaborations. Some speakers included Anna Blume, Adrienne Keene, Karen Kramer and Virgil Ortiz. The films program at the MFAH offers moviegoers a unique venue for appreciating both classic and contemporary films. In conjunction with the film screenings, the Museum schedules appearances by media artists, critics and scholars. The redesign took the brochure from a two color to full color design with panels featuring engaging film stills with pull quotes, info on upcoming festivals, and a clean and colorful layout of the schedule descriptions interspersed with film stills and information. New York State doesn't have consolidated primaries like many states, so the primaries for city, state and federal elections happen over many months and require our team to create a very strategic and unified campaign to inform voters on an ongoing basis. We've found that the approach of using engaging, inviting and colorful mascots performs very well to drive turnout with our audience. I illustrated her profile in Illustrator and incorporated her signature ruby red lip. Played with swashes and type to create an elegant and delicate design befitting its inspiration.
